This morning, the rain clouds had parted and the air was clear - I was pleasantly surprised to see a volcano from my window! This isn't Mount Bromo (where I've taken Bill) but a volcano closer to Surabaya - I forget the name, but it's not an active volcano. There's a hill town called Tretes up on the volcano where I've been a couple times over the years - a popular place for Surabaya townsfolk to go for a weekend of cool mountain breezes.
